WHO ARE WE?

East Preston & Kingston Horticultural Society is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society.  We hold three flower shows each year:

Each show consists of classes in which members of the public can compete for prizes, mostly cash and sometimes trophies as well.  All three shows have classes for exhibiting fruit, flowers, and vegetables and there are variations from one show to another.  At the Summer Show there is a fête as well.

The dates of the Shows vary from year to year, so that they are always held on Saturdays. The Spring Show takes place somewhere from the end of March to the second week in April, depending on when Easter falls.  The Rose Show is timed to coincide with the second Saturday in East Preston Festival, when the parade passes the hall where the Rose Show is held.  The Summer Show is always held on the first Saturday in August.

Our other events include talks, excursions and quiz nights.  See our Events Page.
